Right — been on this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way payout would be once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at yankee calc — free, no signup.
What really shifted things for me was the geekier extras. The odds-to-probability calculator that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent when I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. The design is a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable though the acca grid are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
